Boys Town Suicide and Crisis Linehttp://www.boystown.org/: 1-800-448-3000 or 1-800-448-1833 (TDD)  Provides short-term crisis intervention, counseling and referrals to local community resources for males and females.  Counsels on parent-child conflicts, marital and family issues, suicide, pregnancy, runaway youth, physical and sexual abuse and other issues.  Operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Covenant House Hotline: www.covenanthouse.org/ 1-800-999-9999 Crisis line for youth, teens, and families.  Will give callers locally based referrals throughout the United States.  Specializes in helping Homeless Youth.  Provides help for youth and parents regarding drugs, abuse, homelessness, runaway children, and message relays.  Operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Seton House: http://www.setonyouthshelters.org/ 1-757-498-HELP Seton House is based in and serves the Tidewater Area.  Seton House is a free emergency shelter and crisis counseling for youth 9-18 years of age. Open 24 hours.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

24 Hour Hotline that Provides crisis intervention and referrals to local services and shelters for victims of partners or spousal abuse.  English and Spanish speaking advocates are available 24 hours a day 7Days a week.  Staffed by trained volunteers who are ready to connect people to with emergency help in their own communities including emergency services and shelters.

Many staff members speak languages besides English and they have 24 hour access to translators for approximately 150 languages.

Samaritan House: http://www.samaritanhouseva.org/index.html: 1-757-430-2120 Serving Tidewater Area in Virginia.  Provides a 24 Hour Crisis Hotline that is accessible to anyone in need.  The Samaritan House offers a safe shelter for families to stay for 45 days to two years.  They also have children’s programs available.

Provides information and local referrals to adolescents and families.Gives referrals to shelters nationwide.
