Stacy Bushey, LCSW, DCC

Bio

Stacy Bushey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Distance Certified Counselor (DCC) with more than 15 years of experience in both community mental health and private practice. She received her BS in Psychology from James Madison University and her Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Stacy has a passion for helping others attain healing and wholeness. She seeks to empower clients to gain a greater understanding and freedom from the obstacles hindering their personal growth and well-being. Offering a genuine, empathetic and compassionate approach, Stacy believes in the inherent strengths of her clients and offers an opportunity for those to be realized through a variety of treatment modalities, meeting each client right where they are at.

Stacy enjoys working with school-aged children through adults, with a heart for helping to navigate the often tumultuous waters of adolescence and young adulthood. She has experience in treating anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, low self-esteem, anger issues, family stress, such as separation and divorce, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and eating disorders. Understanding the military lifestyle and being a parent of three active children, Stacy enjoys helping clients embrace those respective challenges, as well. Offering both Individual and family therapy, she also supports and recommends medical consultations, group therapy, and community resources to complement treatment.
